I have downloaded yahoo! messenger 8.1 and 7.0 trying to get it to work on my new computer. I have called yahoo. aol and dell, no help. I tried to download the dll file to open messenger, didn't work, any suggestions?

A question really--do I need yiamge.dll if I have uninstalled yahoo messenger? Only since I have done that I keep getting message when I start machine saying application started to fail because yimage.dll is missing..

i keep getting the same old message saying ive been signed out because i signed in on another computer what please give me a break i dont know what its talking about i cant sign into yahoo messenger it says i need the yimage.dll i unstall the messenger then reinstall it and it keeps telling me the same thing it use to work i dont know what happened can can u install the image.dll that i need or tell me how to sincerely yours.

Why am I missing this file? lol I'm missing my YIMAGE.DLL file. The Yahoo MESS. won\'t fully download. What happens is that a box pops up reading: .DLL file file missing bla be la bla bla bla. I uninstalled yahoo two months ago and then, recently, reinstalled and this is very close to when the .DLL problem occurred. Is this my punishment for not making Yahoo my default browser? hahaha. But I did And now I have to pay for a DLL file? lol OMG.

I tried IM with voice, and did not find it satisfactory. Too many bugs to work out still. So you may wish to give this one a miss for now, musicwiz_64!

hey if u want it to work with messenger u must unzip the file in messenger. when it asks u where to put it hit browse, then click on C: drive programs yahoo then messenger and unzip it there. Then reload messenger and it will work on windows se for me
