So, I'm spreading it around. When I purposefully broke it on my box I got the EXACT same error. If you have XP you aren't supposed to NEED unicows.dll at all. Follow these steps: 1. Click: Start 2. Click: Run 3. Type: %programfiles%\MSN Messenger You will probably end up in a folder called: C:\Program Files\MSN Messenger ... if not, find your MSN Messenger install folder. 4. Find the msnmsgr.exe file and RIGHT click on it. Choose "properties." 5. A window will pop up. Click on the "Compatibility" tab. 6. Make sure all boxes are UNchecked. If the top box WAS checked, then that is why the error was happening. Now try MSN.
