you have to copy the file first to c:\windows\system32\dllcache and then to c:\windows\system32

Well, so you just have to remove the old version from the "c:\windows\sysbckup" directory. That's where Windows keep all its favourites old stuff... Do you know why it do that ? Beceause he/it hate concurency, even when it is for well-minded upgrade or bugs correction by someone else unknown of MS. Now you know.

The domnloaded version of mshtml.dll will not stay in the windows\system32 directory. Each time IE starts the old mshtml.dll is put back, overwriting the new one.
