Couldn’t do ping, use gpresult, open local/group policy editor etc… Error Message saying something like framedyn.dll not found. Every article says to replace file from dllcache or add %SystemRoot%\\system32;%SystemRoot%;%SystemRoot%\\System32\\wbem to your System Path env vars. According to some guy, neither of these are typically the problem… typically a problem with installing old Win95/98 app that modifies registry setting that hold path data – changes data type from REG_EXPAND_SZ to REG_SZ, which Win2000/XP ignores. Fix: If the Path already appears correct, simply change or add one letter, finish these instructions, then repeat them to change the letter back. This will overwrite the incorrect REG_SZ type with the proper REG_EXPAND_SZ.

The "Path" variable was missing on my system along with the DLL file adding the file and the Path using the following value fixed my issue: %SystemRoot%\\system32;%SystemRoot%;%SystemRoot%\\System32\\wbem

#778, 2006-02-03 22:15:39, by: Maxter had the right idea. "...Most of the time you just have to had in the system variable "PATH" the value "%systemroot%\sytem32\WBEM" and you will repair the problem." Microsoft KB319114 has a procedure to get the system variable "PATH" straightened out.

#778, 2006-02-03 22:15:39, by: Maxter
Most of the time, it is saying the file is missing or is corrucpt in WinXP when you try to open System Properties or My Computer but it is not. Most of the time you just have to had in the system variable "PATH" the value "%systemroot%\sytem32\WBEM" and you will repair the problem.
